"Clownhouse" is director Victor Salva's controversial horror masterpiece. Salva is that rare director who also writes the story, and the screenplay for his movies. Some of you may recognize Salva's name from his other films such as the excellent "Powder", and "Jeepers Creepers". By-the-way, the soundtrack to "Powder" which was composed by the late Jerry Goldsmith is a much sought after CD that sells for a high price, when you can find it online. "Clownhouse" was released in 1988, and stars Nathan Forrest Winters as Casey. It was Salva's relationship with Nathan that caused him to be arrested, charged with sexual offenses, and later imprisoned for fifteen months, in California.
